The first of the par 5’s and the longest hole on the course, normally playing into the prevailing wind, and is then definitely worthy of its stroke index 1. The ideal would be a right to left tee shot onto a right to left slope to maximise distance from the tee. A well placed bunker creeping across the fairway some 170 yards short of the green will catch miss-hit shots from the fairway. Be careful of the lay up as the fairway narrows the closer you get to the green.
